This course is designed to give you a comprehensive introduction to web development and equip you with the skills you need to build your own web applications using the Ruby programming language and the powerfully elegant framework, Ruby on Rails.

Once you are comfortable with building your web application, learning to deploy it becomes the next crucial step to getting it out there for the world to see. In order to achieve that goal, Heroku will be the cloud platform of choice to host and manage your web applications.
